NOBEL PEACE PRIZE FOR OBAMA

NOBEL PEACE PRIZE FOR OBAMA

On evening of Friday October 10, 2009, it was announced by Swedish Nobel Committee that USA president Barak Obama is to get prestigious Nobel Prize for Peace. The decision was followed by surprising world-wide jaw drops.
The reason given was the work of Obama in elimination of Nuclear Weapons and international diplomacy. The award seemed to be given more on HOPE than on WORK. Obama has not yet done any significant work in this field, though he is trying his level best. Moreover, the Nobel Committee’s deadline for nominations was February 1, just 11 days from Obamas inauguration of President ship. Obama seems to be premature for the award. He has shown promise in his 9 months of office, but he has not done anything concrete to put his point equal to Nelson Mandela or Mother Teresa.
Why should Obama get a peace award when US is having the largest stock of N-weapons and his actions shed innocent blood in Iran and Afghanistan…
IS THIS THE POWER OF US PRESIDENT TO GET PEACE AWARD….

PROMOTION OF POLITICAL PARTIES BY FILMSTARS

The Vidhan Sabha assembly elections are due on 13th oct,09. All the political parties have tried their level best to win with the help of Bollywood Film stars supporting them fully with whatever knowledge they are having of world’s largest democracy. The political parties have chosen different film stars for them. Some few funny points which I got to know from news are:
• Salman Khan in a rally in Mumbai for Congress said that Mr Ashok Chauhan has done a great job for nation and that’s why he is currently Chief Minister of Mumbai….(Please tell Sallu Miyan that CM are of State not City)
• Tanushree Dutta was in a campaign for Congress in Vidhard region. While giving speech she forgot the name of the person whome she was promoting and paused for few seconds till she was told from behind.
• Another TV star while promoting BSP forgot that he has to praise BSP and not Congress. He told that BSP is doing a great job in UP and on center also PM Manmohan Singh is fully dedicated to nation. And he went on praising congress for 3-4 minutes till he realized his mistake.

Now with this knowledge how can our film stars promote any Political Parties….

3rd Prize in overnight C competition

Hello Everyone,
I am feeling happy to announce that I have got again 3rd prize in C competition. This time it was overnight competition “PIRATES OF C” of STC.
I recently got 3rd prize in Logi C Competition of POLARIS. Again I have got III prize. But this time I am disappointed by organizers of event. At the time of registration I have personally asked the organizers that whether there would be any graphics question; and they have promised that there will not be any. But there was a full question and that too of level 3 and the only question in that level which was to make a game. I did not have adequate practice of graphics and there I lost the cutting edge. My opponent, who got first prize, was a super graphics man and is known as GAMER in class. Actually the game was in level 3 and that too the only question in level 3. In level 1 and 2 I was a little bit ahead but last question made the difference. Anyway hats off to him.
I had to practice graphics a little...

3rd Prize in Logi-C

I am feeling happy to announce that I have got 3rd prize in “Logi-C” competition of Polaris-09 on 17th Aug, 09.
It was a 6 hour continuous competition. The questions were grouped in 3 levels. Level 1 was bit easy. I solved all the questions of level 1. Then after 1.30 hours we were given password of II level. It was tough and had some questions related to FILEs and I had some problem in it, but I got it later from help file.
At last was level III and the toughest of all. After applying some brain into it I got 2 out of 3 in that level.
On the whole the questions were purely logical and the best part was that it had no graphics involved, all gray matter work. A student from MCA from other college was the winner. The marks were:
57- First
53- Second
52-Third (Me)
19-Average Score (approx)
I think I could have done better.
I will try hard in coming STC’s overnight C competition.

Lovers Of Wi-Fi...

I bet you love your Wi-Fi. Well, don't get too attached. Ericsson's chief marketing officer believes that Wi-Fi is already irrelevant and will be replaced by high-speed wireless broadband sooner than we think. Roadblocks are definitely in the way, but 3.5G networks will far outstrip Wi-Fi in coverage the world over. I am not going to fault Johan Bergendahl's comments. After all, Ericsson designs and manufactures a lot of the backhaul networking equipment being used by the mobile network operators to deploy 3G and 3.5G networks. From Ericsson's point of view, these mobile broadband networks are mushrooming in size much faster than fixed telephony did. Bergendahl was the keynote speaker at the European Computer Audit, Control and Security Conference in Stockholm. He told attendees, "In Austria they are saying that mobile broadband will pass fixed broadband this year. It's already growing faster, and in Sweden, the most popular phone is a USB modem. Hotspots at places like Starbucks are becoming the teleph.........

JUG Nagpur meet

Hello,Yesterday, i.e., on 30th Aug,08 there was meeting of JUG-Nagpur. It was second meeting and this time it was in our college. JUG Nagpur stands for JAVA User Group of Nagpur. Its first meeting was at Infospectrum Office about a month ago, in which I was also present. It has a mailing list on which different types of questions are asked related to JAVA. The JAVA users who know the solution reply to the thread created. This time the meeting was to be held at our college. It was a bit difficult for me to arrange things because I had been in OVERNIGHT competitions from last 2 nights( as I have mentioned in other blog). But I was awake anyhow and prepared presentation, set up Skype, downloaded and installed SUN SPOT Manager, arranged for the mike and speakers, refreshments and many more things with the help of 2 of my classmates and 2 seniors. The main topics which were discussed are as follows:• The logo of JUG Nagpur was proposed by some of the members including me( see the pic).• Our HOD , Prof M.B.Chandak gave idea of spreading group by sending some students of our college to other colleges and make them aware.• Also he gave idea of having a full day workshop if there are more queries by students on Mailing List.• Another important point of meeting was an online presentation and conferencing with Mr Rohan Ranade, employee SUN Microsystems from USA.• He gave presentation on GUI Bloopers. It was a really nice presentation and especially for students like us who are still to come in market as developers. It was a nice interactive session.• Mr Tushar Joshi of Infospectrum gave a nice speech on various issues about JUG Nagpur Group.• Another important part was demo and basics of SUN SPOTs which is a small programmable device. Some applications using Sun Spots were shown.• Then at last we concluded the meeting by deciding to have our next meet probably on last Sunday of September followed by some refreshments. This was all about our II meet of JUG Nagpur which had over 20 of its members present. Hope to see the group goes well and help us to clear our doubts on JAVA.

Sun Microsystem's CODE FOR FREEDOM contest

hello!!I m happy to announce that my project proposal has been selected in CODE FOR FREEDOM contest of SUN MICROSYSTEMS, USA.It feels superb if your project gets selected on international level in 2nd year itself (the only project selected from II yr).The project is mainly to make a plug-in in NetBeans for Sun Spot. The plug-in will detect the spot and give its all information like address, memory status, bettry status, program deployed in it etc.The team members apart from me are Pranauti and Rashmi.I would like to thank my senior VasuSen Patil for helping us at the time of need and encouraging us for this event. Also i would like to thank Jai , Sumit and Prof incharge Mr.M.B.Chandak.Now the main task is to complete the project in time without bugs. For that a through study of Sun Spot and NetBeans along with plug-ins is required and the battle is on...HOPE FOR THE BEST
