Conducted Seminar For Juniors

We the open source co-ordinators, SRKNEC, Nagpur have conducted the Seminar of the 2nd years on the Linux Installation and Maintainence on 5th Dec,2009…

We started first with explaning them about the disk management in windows ! explained them the concepts of the physical drive, logical drive n all !

Then we started with the Fedora installation and explained them all the custom layouts of partition and many more things in installation process…:)

Fedora installation was as a dual boot but then we also given them a demo of ubuntu 9.1 installation inside windows…This was really interesting for the students…:D

After that I asked them some questions related to bootloader and grub relatives…very gud response from juniors..:)

Then at last we showed them how to run the windows selected applications like quick time player etc…using CROSSOVER software…

In the mean time we were taking the fillers regarding the linux and other tricks in windows.. ! It helped juniors to have some fun and to win some of the SUN MICROSYSTEMS goodies !
